Any help would be appreciated.A cool postcard to have in a Germany States issue!
I am not sure if this is of much help:
MittelFranken= Middle Fraconia, a Bavarian Sub-district. (You were on the right track...)
I beleive this is a local-post issue, for a private, or semi-private carrier.it is not in scott, which is not extensive in germany states.
i would say, does anyone o stamporama with a yvert tellier catalog have any info? (Aware I spelled it wrong!

I am pretty sure this is a fiscal revenue ("Gebührenmarke") and it is unusual to see it used as a normal stamp.
