I think something went wrong. When I do a search, I find an empty post titled "My last 3 mailings to customers have bounced back.", but it is dated 31 December 1969. That's weird. A system glitch?
I mailed letters to three different parts of the country to well known addresses...each came back with with a yellow sticker saying "unable to locate" even though they had been located many times before. None of the stamps on the envelopes were cancelled..leading me to believe that it was done fairly locally. If they bounce back again i will repackage the stamps and bring them to the post office and have metered postage put on them and see if they can locate the addresses then. Perhaps some dingbat in the post office does not think that older postage is valid.
Phil,
That happen to me now and then, my guess? people moved and didn't leave a forward address.
StampCollector, thanks for the reply...the 3 folks i mailed to are alive and well here on Stamporama (knock on wood) i will get it resolved one way or the other by end of month. I think it was just one individual that does not like to see older stamps used for postage. It should not be too hard for them to figure out its at least 68 cents on the envelope.
I have the same problem with return mail. I confirm the address and I take it Back to the P.O. And have them resend it. With out putting new postage on it and it finds it way the second time. (Unless I forgot the Zip Code P.O. can't find Florida without a zip code.)

Math aptitude is not a strong talent of many post office clerks. I often have to remind our local clerk there is postage on the package and then tell them the total as they cannot add it up without calculator support. True even when I use the same Forever Stamps in the same amount time after time.
Thank God, i thought i was alone !
i posted about customers purchases bouncing back and i do not know what happened to it . HELP !
