My daughter Becca works for a very big engineering company here in Minnesota and often brings me home interesting stamps and covers from items that they receive in the mail. I thought you'd enjoy this one. It was sent from a software consulting company in St. Georgen, Germany and was successfully delivered to Becca's company in Chanhassen, MN, but the delivery path was via Mongolia.

re: Germany to Minnesota via Mongolia

Funny.
The letter was actually sent in the correct direction according to the DIN ISO 3166 countrycodes list that the Germans use. MN stands for Mongolia in this list.
When you write the address in the order that is customary in Germany (country code - postal code - city name) in stead of the American order (state abbreviation, city name, zip code), this is what you get.
