Partly answering my own question:
I found this (small) listing
Azores, Madeira
Note that used stamps with genuine overprints have the following numeral cancellations:
1853–69: 48 Angra do Heroismo, 49 Horta, 50 Ponta Delgada or 51 Funchal.
1870–78: 42 Angra do Heroismo, 43 Horta, 44 Ponta Delgada or 45 Funchal.

my website has been offline for a while, something to do with the provider selling his company to another and things going wrong in the process... It is back now, I only need to get the ability to update pages again. They can't reset the password for me. How difficult is that, one would think. It seems to be really hard.
Once that is done, I want to add a similar list of Danish numeral cancels. Well... patience I suppose.

I am looking for a list that shows me what Portuguese town / municipality / island or whatever goes with what old numeral cancel. Can anyone help me with this?
