I THINK THAT I FIGURED OUT THAT IT IS #95, AS I COUNTED THE PERF HOLES & THERE ARE 25, NOT 26. GOOD THING THAT I COULD ENLARGE THE PICTURE, OTHERWISE I COULD NEVER SEE THE HOLES WITH MY POOR EYESIGHT.

I could be wrong, but isn't 78 unwatermarked whereas 95 does have a watermark?
Furthermore, I cannot see anything strange about the "Deutsches Reich". All the letters are there.

I think Jan's right... I think 78 was the one without a watermark... I'm not sure there was a perforation difference between the two.
Gee, I think old age is creeping up on me. I did not even see the watermark note in the catalog. The stamp is indeed #95. I knew that I could depend on SOR to set me straight. Thanks.

My catalogue doesn´t mention a difference in perfs. It just says perforated 14 x 14 1/4.
The Scott Classic catalog gets more specialized with the perfs and the differences with the pre-war a war printings of these stamps.
OK, I am stumped here, first how do I tell SC78 from 95, and what is going on with the word Deutches Reich at the top? Letters missing? Original stamp shown, and close-up of top of stamp.
Thanks for any help.
