I would say your stamp is type 1, the curve of the 5 is quite thick unlike that of type 2.
Definitely type 1. I suppose I have a more recent Michel, because this is far easier to look for: does the guy have an ear?

Edit: wrong altogether! This is Michel 81, not 66: Deutsches Reich, not Reichspost! 81 does not have two different types.
Ah, yes. I see that now. Thank you for clarification.
He has no ear, so type 1
Well, the stamp shown by oldguy is not Mi.no.65 (inscribed REICHSPOST)
but Mi.No.81 or 97 with the inscription DEUTSCHES REICH !
The description of Type I and Type II is for Mi.no.65 only !
There are no different Types of Mi.nos.81 or 97.
The perforations will determine whether it is Scott 78 or Scott 95
It would appear to be Scott 95.

Scott's says there are 2 types:
I - "5" is thick; "M" has slight serifs
II - "5" thinner; "M" has distinct serifs.

Michel has more clarification, but it is in German. Any translate the text into English?
