Russian Civil War Issue from 1918 not listed in Scott (thanks Colnect image search!) Michel Russia KG 7B.

Steven, could you tell me what the KG stands for. I could find very similar stamps in my Minkus Russia album back of book but not this one. It's a bit odd since so much of the Russian civil war stuff is there. It's a great looking stamp and I'd like to know more about it!
I am not entirely sure what the abbreviation is for, but the stamp is from the short lived Kuban Cossacks Republic, one of many breakaway territories during the Russian civil war that followed the October revolution.
'KG' probably stands for "Kuban Government". Colnect considers this stamp part of the "Ekaterinodar Issues" series which is included in Scott under South Russia.

My album has a fairly large section on South Russia which has stamps very similar to this one, but not this particular stamp. I'm not sure why!!
Here is the section in Michel, Civil War area >> South Russia >> Kuban Region (Jekaterinodar)
