Did you read all of the right and proper terms for this auction?

No, I'm an absolute newbie, never done this before, silly me.
Of course I did.
What city are they in?
One kind member has messaged me already, but they're in Stouffville
@DaveSheridan
You should always read the terms!

Sarcasm is lost on you apparently
Trying to help you for the next time.
No reason to be nasty!

Don't need your help thanks. I've been doing this for a very long time! Of course I read the terms!!
@DaveSheridan
I have family in Canada, they might be able to help!

I'm very certain Dave knows what he's doing. I worked for an auction house many years ago while in college. Shipping terms were often worked out for clients when possible. Never hurts to ask...I've done it with various degrees of success. Happy stamping, Dave!
Several years ago I bought an incredible glass lot from Julia's Auctions in the US, one of the top antique auction sites even though it doesn't exist any more. The lot was $500 with a 20% auction fee and over $300 shipping. It came in a huge box since there were about 20 separate items. I wonder what the shipping cost would be now, the mind boggles!!!
Thanks to everyone that assisted with my query, I appreciate your help.
I can now say that Oakwood Auctions is the least communicative auction house I have ever dealt with. Despite five emails, I received not one personal response. Their best effort, which indicates that they read my emails, is to ship via Canada Post rather than FedEx, which reduced the cost by a mere $12.
I wholeheartedly cannot recommend this auction house to anyone, and have told them so.
I'm wondering if I can get some assistance with an auction lot I won from Oakwood Auctions in Ontario. The lot is a used accumulation of Australia, total US$55 + premium, but postage via FedEx is a massive US$126.95.
Obviously, that's silly and I've told them so. They're shipping shoe boxes, which I don't need, and which will add to the volume measurement. Is anyone local to the area that could pick up or receive delivery on my behalf? I will obviously pay postage to you and to me, and I only want part of the material so the rest is yours if you want it.
I know this is an imposition, and any help will be greatly appreciated, but I never understand why auction houses won't think outside the box (see what I did there?)
