In 1868 and 1869, a special 1/2 Sch. stamp was also issued for Hamburg. Although Hamburg had its own stamps, the stamps of the other two postal districts were also occasionally used there.

This is a stamp from the North German Postal Union (Norddeutscher Postbezirk), the precursor of the unified German Reich stamps issued between 1868 and 1872. Michel # 24

This one looks like one of the german states but I think it is a cinderella from Hamburg. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks, capetown
