I must be getting really old but I have no idea what you mean by "a socalled NFT that can be traded online"! I never really understand NFTs either and they really never seem to be discussed any more!
@Joe: i never understood this NFT ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-fungible_token) idea either. Just another tulip mania and like you say they seem to be out of fashion already. So the postal administrations are getting on board pretty late. Too late probably.
Remember when Canada sold the stamps that were also phone cards that you could use? That fizzled out fast, but the stamps hold a high value.
I agree with you, Jan.

Anything called crypto seems like a way for someone to make money and not solve many problems.
Cryptocurrency and NFTs remind me of the Hans Christian Andersen parable, The Emperor Has No Clothes.
Recently several postal administrations issued socalled crypto stamps where one does not only buy a stamp for mailing letters, but also a socalled NFT that can be traded online. Among others the Netherlands and Austria issued such stamps. In my opinion it is just another attempt to make money over the backs of collectors because really: is someone waiting for this?
Perhaps my scepticism is unjustified, but I don't really see this taking off and suspect the crypto / NFT stamps will go the same way as FDC's, prestige booklets and other items created especially for collectors: overpriced but in the end unwanted.
What do you think?
