I'm aware of these issues, but really never did any research on these.
Is there any publication(s) on these issues?

This would be a good starting point to learn more about the 46 (!) different railway companies that at one point in time issued railway stamps: https://www.paperheritage.co.uk/rls/Denm ...
On this page there is also a reference to a catalogue issued by the Dansk Fragt- og Banemærkeklub (The aptly called DFBK catalogue). This club also has a website (in Danish only): http://www.fragtmaerker.dk/
If you do not understand Danish or can't get Google to translate the pages for you, the information on this site might be hard to understand...

Great links - thanks for posting them!
And thank you for giving this a bump. I still hope that someone has some of these lying around...
Here's a few but I have no catalogue for these so no idea as to date/printer etc.
More to follow.....
Those are very nice. I have a few from the Lyngby- Nærum line and the Kolding sydbaner, but none from the Skagens bane. Not that surprising, even though I now have a collection of over 900 different, that still means over 6,000 are missing...
As far as I know, the Danish state railways (Danske Statsbaner or DSB) and the many local rail operators have been issuing their own stamps to be used on packages sent by train since at least 1866. I saw an example of a stamp issued by the "Sjællandske Jernbaner" (Zealand Railways) that is supposed to be the first issued. Of course I do not have it. Over the years, there have been like I wrote above 106 companies that issued stamps (not 46 as I thought earlier!) and to this day, there are 13 local networks besides the DSB. None of these issue stamps anymore, that stopped a few years ago.
Here are some pages from my collection.
One of the weirdest things about these local railway parcel stamps is that many of these stamps are surcharged with new values and it often looks like the printer used every available type font he could find, creating 10 different varieties of the same overprint.
Looking forward to see more from your collection Michael
I have not been able to get a catalogue either, but after some searching on Danish auction sites i reduced that there must be at least 100 stamps for Skagensbanen. The red surcharge 400 is #89 and the 50 surcharge is #90.
Since it is very hard to find a catalogue (at least for a decent price) i have started to recreate one myself, based on information gathered from various auction sites. Whenever i see a stamp that is identified, i copy the image and the number. I have an almost complete listing of all stamps from NFJ (nordfyenske jernbane) now. This will keep me occupied for a while!
I don't collect these, not even sure how I came by them. Possibly in a mixed lot. But they are interesting and attractive.
Here's a few more.
Very nice indeed! The last one is a Cinderella for the Danish Railways sports club
More to come when babysitting will allow !!!
Once again a lot of nice ones. I have a few from the SKRJ - Silkeborg-Kjellerup-Rødkærsbro Jernbane in my collection. I have more from Nakskov - Rødby
Note that the two 50 øre stamps are different. I have no idea what the small yellow one was for.
Jan, here are the rest of my little lot. Mostly odds but I wouldn't know if they were or not !!!
Hope the scans are enough. I'll contact you privately on Monday or Tuesday. Coincidentally, I am off to the Israel Railway Museum tomorrow to view not only the old railways, but to study a large collection of Palestine/Israel railway stamps which have just been bequeathed to the Museum !
Hello Jan,
A dealer in Denmark gave me a lead on a dealer for a catalog on Danish Railway stamps. The dealers name is Samieren in Denmark. the catalog is pretty expensive.
The site is: album.dk.vare/katalog-over-danmarks-jernbanefrimaerker-dansk-fragt.og-banemaerkeklub/
I borrowed a copy from the Scandinavian Collectors Club Library. This catalog is about 460 pages.
Yes, that's the "bible". From the brochure that can be found at the Dansk Fragt- og Banemærke Klub: The around 7600 stamps are shown with all known types, by means of about 2,800 illustrations. All the stamp and stamp detail photos come with explanatory texts to make it easy for the reader to identify the individual stamps.
That will certainly fill 488 A4 size pages!
550 DKK plus shipping is a bit too expensive for me...
We used to have a dealer here called Stafford Stamps, he used to put out regular sales sheets which included quite a few Danish railway stamps .here's a page from a 1996 brochure. As far as I knew back then he never had a web site.

Those are among the easier ones to find, even though it can still be a challenge to get them. Funny, how it might be interesting to go to an Australian dealer in order to get those Danish railwaystamps.

Interesting but perhaps a bit old. One would miss almost 60 years of railway stamps with this catalogue. Good one if you focus om the classic issues though.
Does anyone here collect Danish railway stamps or has some of these and wants to part with them? I am looking for these and would like to hear what you'd like in return.
