The first stamp is a personalised issue of pop stars, a search for personalised stamps of the Netherlands on ebay illustrates the set. Years of issue stated to be 2001-11. https://www.lastdodo.com/en/items/259065 ...
The second is also possibly personalised. https://www.lastdodo.com/en/items/313753 ...
The third looks to be a machine issue, a bit like the post and go of Uk. https://www.lastdodo.com/en/items/406150 ...
you are sort of right for the first two ones. Personalised may not be the correct word, as they were part of limited series that one could subscribe to. The first one or two were available at the counter, the others only if a subscription was taken. The third one is a local stamp from a private mail company. This one being located in the city of Nijmegen and probably concentrating on mail within the city perimeters.
Well thank you very much We are learning all the time
Jansimon, at least I got some of it correct, not a lot, but better than none. Could not actually see them in Scott at all, but then there is a lot I never see in the catalogue. I blame it on my age!!! Think the brain cell needs a reboot.
No worries Vic,
These awful personalised-ish stamps are the reason I cut off the Netherlands collection at 2001. Most catalogues struggle with them because they look like the real personalised stamps but were officially issued in large quantities. Others that look almost the same were real personalised ones and only exist as one or two sheets...
here are all the stamps from the "Dutch popmusic history" series started in 2011. Each of the 25 stamps shows a different album by a Dutch rock/pop artist considered to be "classic". Two stamps from the set (Boudewijn de Groot (the one you have) and Golden Earring were available as normal issues. The 23 others were only available as part of the subscription. For 15 euros per month one received 2 sheets with 10 the same stamps (nominal value at that time € 9,20) and an information sheet about the featured album. With the subscription came a cd and an app with which it was possible to scan the stamp and hear a song from the album...
It is not really surprising to say that I have never ever seen any of the 23 stamps that were subscription only...
Thanks for the lesson
It is getting more complicated all the time . What gets me is the sheets with 8 or 10 different stamps
