The mornings come with age! I easily slept through them when I was young, but not any more
I nearly peed...........
I was what we call in Australia a "shiny a**" for over 35 years. Working in an office sitting down. Up at 6am bed by 10pm. It never suited me as I'm a night owl, so do I get up early???
The tyranny of distance means that the post you just made hit my inbox after midnight. I sell online with many customers in the US and Canada, so my working hours now fit my biorhythm perfectly.
The only problem I can see is that my teeth are becoming pointed and sunlight is becoming less appealing.
eCommerce is a 24/7 business!
eBay especially seems to be more of a weekend thing. The phone usually starts chiming about noon on Friday and I'll sell all weekend. It was said that Sunday evening was particularly good because everyone was home. Then Monday it's crickets!
When my phone chimes in the middle of the night I know International bids are coming in.
When I put things in the auction and approval sections I normally do that at the end of my evening (between 22.00 and 23.30 hrs). I go to bed and the next morning I check how much I made while I slept
The period between 0.00 and 7.00 (my time) is when I get the most bids, so that roughly corresponds with the end of the afternoon / evening in North America, depending on the time zone. Sometimes, but not often, I see bids coming in that make me wonder if someone is a bit sleepless, because it would be in the middle of the night over there. I try not to think about it too much.
I've turned into a bit of an old fart!! I go to bed every night between 9:00 and 9:30 and read for about two hours and don't get up the next morning until about 8:00. When my wife and I both worked I was up every morning before 6:00, I don't do that anymore - no morning appointments at all. I check StampoRama before bed and every morning before I go out for breakfast and a few times during the day if I am home. The only time I make exceptions is if someone is posting a book I'm interested in and I happen to know ahead of time - I really try not to disturb my schedule, I really look forward to my reading time. Like I said, I have turned into an old fart!!!
I am a no ! i jump out of bed at 8:15 a.m.
2:00 AM or 5 1/2 hours sleep every day, which ever comes first. Back in my days in IT, I used to get up at 2 to walk to the bus stop at 3 to get to work by 6:30. I kept that wake up time. Only difference is that I don't get midnight calls any more!

Except in college, I have always been a morning person. When I retired, I did not change Mornings mean coffee!
The question may also be when new books are posted.
Coffee! That's so much a given!
It's been annoying in the past year. I have to wait an hour after getting up to have my coffee. Oh the horrors, but at least I have survived!
Ok - my totally unscientific observation - it seems like the auction and bidding are most active in the mornings. Is it true? Do you like to browse the new listings in the morning with your cup of coffee or tea?
I worked second shift for over 25 years (3-11pm or 5pm - 3am) so I was rarely perky very early in the morning. I always thought that morning people were some exotic species lol. Now - I find myself up earlier and earlier. Strange.
