The blocks of six are selling on eBay for quite a bit more than face. I ordered a few blocks of the domestic and international stamp directly from the Ukraine post office. It took a while for the website to locate the stamps and process the order - I suspect the Russians are blocking the post office server from working effectively. After a few hours of continually refreshing the order page, the order eventually went through. I suspect these will prove to be interesting collector's items in time given the bravery of the individuals concerned and the fact that the warship depicted was the one that sank a few days ago!
"I suspect the Russians are blocking the post office server from working effectively."
This has the flavor of a scam. Let's hope your order actually went to someone with this stamp. Let us know if you get it.
No.
FWIW, I hope this is a scam. If member countries of the UPU can issue stamps with someone flipping the bird, what have we come to??
"what have we come to?"
" If member countries of the UPU can issue stamps with someone flipping the bird, what have we come to??"
The answer to your original question is No.
If it is a scam then they are producing Mugs, T-Shirts, Flags and all the other "collectible" areas with the same image and wording.
I hope. I want one if it is real. Let's hope Putin gets his axx handed to him!
If they're real, I wouldn't mind having one myself. I'll have to check my budget and see what happens
I saw it being offered on the local selling site Marktplaats (somewhat like Craig's list) and the price had gone up to 35 euros for just one stamp. Somehow I doubted if the seller really has the stamp, because the photo with the add was just the picture that all the news sites show, not a stamp lying on a desk or anything that may lead to the assumption the person is not a fraud...
Edit: just saw a couple of sellers offering a sheet of 6 with "W" denomination and these go from 150 to 250 euros (actual bids). But again, no guarantee the seller actually has it or that the bids are not shill bids.
i would not pay a premium for one...whats to stop them from flooding the market with them ?
I think it is wise to wait some time, 6 months, a year? And see if it holds its value once the hype is gone. Probably not, unless they printed only a small amount.
There is an article in today's Guardian, the English newspaper.

150 Euro ? If this is the price I have to pay I will be flipping a finger too.
Do they use these stamp to mail letters to Russia, I wonder, if they ever cared whether the letters will be delivered.
I wonder when the question "Do you think this stamp will become really valuable" was first asked in the hobby?
1840 or so?
One of my daughter’s best friends from Uni moved to Canada from Ukraine in 2015. She has gotten me quite a few stamps through her relatives still there.
I asked a couple days ago if she could get me some of these new ones and she just replied that none of her relatives had even heard of the stamp.
So …
I’ll stay on top of it and let you know if I hear anything different.
Cheers, Dave.
"If member countries of the UPU can issue stamps with someone flipping the bird, what have we come to??"
It is becoming a hype. People going crazy. Everyone wants a copy. Prices going up.
From the dictionary :
HYPE : a situation in which something is advertised and discussed in newspapers, on television, etc. a lot in order to attract everyone's interest.
I saw this FDC cover on eBay, price 1500 euro's

Ridiculous
I would rather see semi-postals to raise money instead of these types of issues.
Just read this on Twitter.

It depends, we are all collectors who want to collect. Isn't paying a few 100 quid for a good penny black less ridiculous, or millions for a Swedish stamp that is orange instead of the intended colour?
You are not going to pay 1500 for that FDC and neither will I. Still, some people think it is worth that much. Well, good for them. If it makes them happy or if they think they can make a profit...
Very interesting.
If you look very carefully,
in the thin,
distant cloudbank,
you can clearly see,
a "Face on Mars."
Hyped indeed.
People, you're all overlooking the potential here. We all bemoan the fact that interest in stamps is declining, but here's a way to rejuvenate it. Countries around the world could issue stamps like this. Cuba flipping the bird at the US, South Korea at North Korea, Iran at Saudi Arabia, Taiwan at China, and on and on. Issuing these stamps might take the place of shooting at each other. And it will stimulate interest in philately to boot!
I have serious doubts that any non-collector will have his interest aroused by this stamp enough to take up the hobby. I have yet to hear of anybody who became a collector after responding to a “Face On Mars” sales ad - and those ads were ubiquitous, particularly in Parade magazine and other newspaper Sunday supplements.
Or a more recent example. How many converts to philately do you think are remaining, of those who bought the Austria Brexit stamp 2 years ago?
