As the German forces overran Poland's weaker defenses in 1939,
members, many almost complete units, tried to escape, some by
crossing through Romania, then making their way south to join
the British and Australian forces in Palestine and Egypt.
Others went by sea and elements of the Polish Navy took part in
the Atlantic Convoy War.
Eventually Polish army divisions fought in Italy and were a major
part in the attacks and capture of Monte Cassino.
Isn't History interesting ?
Can't find in Scott, never even heard of it
