It takes two bidders to really want an item to put the price up.
You never know what can happen at an auction. Some items have no bids and other items go sky high.
It takes all kinds, check this out.

Dear Dell4c,
We investigated this bidding item on Ebay.
There are 6 bidders. Five of them are Shill bidders. They tried to inflate the price by out bidding high.
All five bidders worked with the Seller with disguised name/number.
All five bidders carried over 20% activities which indicate shell bidding behavior. Some have retracts. If you look at their bidding profile, it will confirm.
If this is forward to police, they have the capability to locate shill bidders' IP address.
thanks for the explanation on why it's likely shill bidding

Funny thing, there was just a rant from one of the model car guys about eBay fees.
He wasn't paying no 12.5% to eBay!
So my response... You take a $100 model kit. You drive to a swap meet.. gas, tolls, maybe lodging and pay $50 for a table. Someone bargains with you and you sell the kit for $85
Put it on eBay for $200 at no cost for the listing. Two guys fight over it and it sells for $250. eBay's cut is $31.25. So you've received $218.75, which is a damn good deal!
So this clown comes back, "Yea, but they'll charge me the commission on the postage too". I saw he was a lost cause!
End analysis- It doesn't cost anything to go fishing on eBay! Put stamps up there for a million dollars each! What do you have to lose?
this eBay lot
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/133990459637?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2648
is at $11.50 with $2.50 shipping and 2 hours to go.
It lists in my 2011 Scotts at $4.00 !!!
I thought the hobby was supposed to be dying and we should be seeing prices well below catalog ( and I should be able to fill in some holes cheaply!! ) but sure doesn't seem to be the case!
Looks like the hobby is more than healthy from what I am seeing. There's some quote about the rumors of death that should go here but I can't remember it !
