Auctions - Approvals
I have accumulated a couple of pages of these and was thinkin of setting them up on some pages. They aren't listed in my 2011 Scotts but I found this quote online:

"Scott Specialized adds another 67 listings to Venezuela

Venezuela AR39 stamp
The newly listed ‘AR39’. Worth paying attention to…
It’s taken a while but Scott is now recognizing Venezuela’s postal fiscals (or postage and revenue stamps) in the 2017 edition of its Classic Specialized Catalogue.

This bumps up the number of stamps listed during the classic period to a further 67 items, all of them now prefixed under an “AR” code. AR1 through to AR26 are overprints of the 1893 ‘Instruccion’ series (with the usual smattering of inverts) whereas those following were printed in their own right. The later stamps are all easily identifiable by the words ‘Instruccion’ or ‘Timbre Fiscal’ included within the design."

I was wondering if anyone with a post 2017 Scott could tell me if they listed them in the regular scotts as well or if I need to find a scott classic?

Also if anyone is aware of any online listing of them I would appreciate being pointed to it as my attempts to find one have not been successful.

thanks
bob

re: Venezuela revenues

This is one of those rare moments in history where I happen to have a full set of the most recent year of Scott, including the Classic Specialized.

So I was able to take a look at the listings and compare them between volume 6B and the Classic Specialized for 2021.

Happily, it looks like the Classic doesn't list some items that the main volume doesn't, as is so often the case. So, for the Postal Fiscal Stamps (the AR series) the main volume includes everything in the Classic, plus it also lists 2 stamp sets, one from 1947 (9 stamps) and the other from 1952 (10 stamps), which were issued beyond the coverage era for the Classic, so that gets us up to the AR86 number that Philatelia mentioned above.

Bob, I'd be happy to send you a pic of that page in the catalog. (It won't be a scan, but should hopefully still be readable and useful for you.) Let me know if the email address listed in your profile is still current. Fingers crossed, I should be able to get to it either today or tomorrow.

Hope this would prove helpful!
