This won't help but... I've collected Canada since 1972 and have stayed away from most Canada revenue. Why? There is a shed load of it, it's basically like collecting another country - that's how much there is! I do collect Newfoundland revenue since the amount is more manageable. I also collect basic Canada BOB which is now complete except for some provincial issues which are unaffordable. There are collectors out there for Canada revenue, but I would guess the number to be limited!
This is from the 1987 Canadian Revenue Stamp Catalog ( there are newer issues)
also Van Dam who publishes it has a website with lots of info here; http://www.esjvandam.com/
hope this helps

A more recent van Dam catalogue listing shows a value up to $0.25 but also adds the explanation that the Customs Duty stamps were "used on foreign advertising mail coming into Canada." There are two sizes, depending on wet or dry printing, for the first issue. The two cent issue is FCD 7 from the 1935 issue. And yes, both issues are quite plentiful.
Thanks for all the helpful input! Plentiful and inexpensive...but at least they are fairly attractive. Another oddity for my world-wide collection. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Dave - I happen to possess the 10 cent value in my WW used block collection. The centering is off to the right, just as it is on your one cent copy, but I still like the design on this stamp.
dell4c - Thanks for posting the catalog page.

I really like the design as well. It is stately and handsome. Stay Safe and Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
I recently acquired a small collection of world-wide stamps dating ca. 1962 or earlier and I've come across a few that I can't find in my Scott's catalog. Obviously these are 2 Customs stamps and I'm guessing they have no real value but I would still like to know something about them. Date issued, catalog value, etc. How were they usued? Any input will be appreciated. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
