Everything is collectable but I would not include these in my collection. As far as I know there are no cutouts from envelopes or cards listed in Michel so the demand is probably limited too.
In the USA, cut squares from envelopes and wrappers has been acceptable from the beginning. Modern envelops with designs that are printed on the envelope need to be collected in whole. Postal card cut outs are not normally collected.
In Europe, postal card cut outs are acceptable. As are the envelope cut outs.
As with any cut out, the larger the border around the "stamp" the better.
A couple finds so far, don't expect more than a dozen or so from my initial look. Left and Middle are from postcards, Right from a pre-stamped envelope.
Is this a collectible area? Any idea on value? Other thoughts?
Not sure I'm going to expand my Germany collection into this area, so probably will go on the Auction block (or maybe a Trading account with someone).
