I check for numeral cancels as well. For your information: I have a comprehensive list of all cancels on my website, as well as similar lists for Canada and Portugal.
Me too!
I don't often find one that I don't have, but it is very satisfying when I do. I know that I will never complete this collection, unless I live another 100 years, but the enjoyment is in the search.
The socalled "Kleinrond" cancels of certain small offices fetch very high prices at auction but I do not look for these. One has to draw the line somewhere
Some of the number cancels also fetch high prices. Particularly number 259, which was only in use for 2 weeks, goes for $$$$, or should I say €€€€.

If we are lucky we can collect at least some areas just for fun. At one time the Netherlands used numeral cancels to identify towns and cities. The Dutch Specialized catalog has them in this order from number 1 Alkmaar to 259 Waddinxveen. So i search packet material for them...i have to wade through the Amsterdam and Rotterdam numbers but do find some smaller towns @
