Following the sorting of the Transportation and Great Americans (famous or not!) I have been sorting the Americana series, finished up with those shown below.
However, despite going through a thousand or so of stamps with flags on, I was only able to find a few of the 13 cent Flag over Capitol, and none of those was the Scott 1623B, booklet stamp. A hundred or so of the other 13 star flag, but very few of the Capitol ones.
Were they not very commonly used or am I just not finding them amongst the horde?
Yes I appreciate these are all common stamps and not of any value, but I'd like to complete the page.

re: Americana series

I sort of like the series and am keeping my eyes open for the few I am missing but mostly I'll be concentrating on what I think of as precancels, I have many different city precancels for the "piano stamp" (I'm not even getting far enough into them to use Scott #'s) since the person whose collection I ended up buying recently seemed to be collecting precancels of that stamp. I'm not that interested in the flag over the capital stamp and will check what is in the collection and if it's there I'll let you know!

@Harvey, thanks for looking, much appreciated.
I'm now down to needing one stamp for the Great Americans series, just found the 21c and now only needing Sitting Bull.

Sorry, I checked my copies of the "flag over the capital" stamp and can't help you. The person whose collection this was also had a few of the famous Americans series and I could have sworn I had Sitting Bull. Unfortunately it was Red Cloud instead! If I remember right it is a very large series so if you are only missing one you did well!!!

@Harvey, thanks for looking anyway. Perhaps all the Sitting Bulls have gone walkabout. One will turn up somewhere sometime no doubt.
