I guess being a publisher is a tough business.
With the company being for sale, it might be wise for some folks to get this edition. In my opinion they should be able to find a buyer, but it certainly can be said that its future is currently unknown.

In my opinion, this is the best catalogue available for Canadian stamps.
This new edition has 792 pages! The cost is less than CDN$0.07 per page, plus an additional penny or more per page for the taxman, depending on where you live. Shipping costs are extra, but my dealer offers a 50% refund of postage if the stamps are returned to him.
In my opinion it's the only real catalog for Canadian stamps and no Canada collector should be without it. I updated last year and, since I don't collect recent material, I probably won't update. But maybe!! They say they use the Scott's numbering system but they must make up their own for most varieties since they show much more than Scott's does.
In case you are thinking of getting rid of your older issues of the catalog - they dropped the postal stationary section a few years back so you may want to keep an older issue for reference to that material.
I kept my old 2015 edition because I had used it to check off older Canadian varieties, especially the large and small Queens. I just checked and it does have a very substantial section on postal stationary. I don't collect that area of Canada but you never know what I'll do in the future! I never planned on collecting precancels either!!
Does this catalog include revenues for Canada and related areas?
It doesn't include a great many revenues, I had to buy a separate book on revenues that they publish for that. I imagine that will cease production as well. The revenue book was quite cheap so you might want to get both. I can't do scans from here so maybe a Canada collector could scan both tables of contents and either put them here or email them to you.
Thanks, Harvey.
I have the Canada Revenues Catalog - was curious if the Specialized was all-inclusive.
I will be interested to see if someone can expound on your suggestion.
Thanks, Larry.
I don't see revenues listed in the contents.
"I don't see revenues listed in the contents."
I would imagine Unitrade doesn't cover Revenues to not impact the Barefoot Revenue catalogs?
Jerry, Unitrade publishes it's own book on revenues for Canada. I assume that will disappear as well. It's a great little book and somewhere around $20, I think!
I don't know if there's a newer version than this.
It sells for around 20-30 dollars, depending on where you find it.
That's the newest revenue catalogue, I believe. I just bought a copy from the author at the Royale show in London, Ontario. He also prints an album of revenue stamps, which was pricey but somewhat tempting.
I love the Unitrade catalogue, I know a few of the contributors (one having been a mentor to me in my youth). I think it's a lovely reference guide. I really hope it lives on with a new owner. I miss the Darnell catalogue for EFOs, I have a couple older versions that are still helpful.
Randy:
That's the current edition of the Canada Revenue Catalogue. Erling van Dam publishes it himself. He told me Gino at Unitrade was trying to publish all the philatelic publications in Canada. He and Gino couldn't come to an agreement.

I've been claiming that the book on revenues I have is by Unitrade. It's actually by van Dam as shown above. I was all mixed up, which happens now more than it used to, the precancel book for Canada is put out by Unitrade. I have the 5th edition and will stick with that!
My daughter has the 2017 Unitrade catalog, and it is an amazing book for stamps collectors!!
I saw that the 2024 edition was coming out and I plan on asking my local library to purchase it. I just need to go there and make the request "In Person". They have the 2018 edition as their latest edition.
I am sad to hear they won't make a new version for 2025... but then again, not surprised as digital seems to be slowly taking over the world... It's so hard to find any stamps these days - certainly not an ideal situation for a staring stamp collector!
In any case, I hope my local library will accept my request to purchase it...! *crossing fingers*

I didn’t realize how essential a good catalog is to stamp collecting until I got one! It’s time to replace my older U.S. and get what may be the last Unitrade Canada this year!
"I didn’t realize how essential a good catalog is to stamp collecting until I got one!"
In reading the list of contents on page 658 is United Nations Stamps in Canadian Currency. I am aware of UN Pavillion at the Montreal World Fair is part of that. Are there any other issues noted on this topic?
In the 2024 Unitrade edition this listing is on page 684. Only the five issues for the 1967 UN Pavilion in Montreal are listed, all $0.25 each mint or used.
That is what I thought, but just in case I had missed anything, I asked! The issue I was surely correct released April 28, 1967 listed in Scott as 170-74. Should be listed as UN-Montreal and preceded the later UN-Geneva (1969) & UN-Vienna (1979) issues!
I am sorry I thought the page the displayed earlier in this post was the table of contents was for the 2024 edition when it was really the 2021 edition.
Anything new on pre 1940 stamps in this issue?
I realize Unitrade is the go to Canada/Provinces catalog, and I have 2 of them. However, are there any others that add any value over what you get in Unitrade? I'm specifically looking at pre 1940 stamp issues
My new copy of the 2024 Unitrade catalogue of Canadian stamps has been mailed from Vancouver, BC
The cost of postage was almost as much as the cost of the early bird price of the catalogue, but much cheaper than the cost of the ferry ($190.00 return) and car expenses from Salt Spring Island to Vancouver to pick it up at the stamp dealer’s store. I hope I can lift the catalogue without breaking my wrists. LOL
There will not be a 2025 edition printed.
