I have been told that the number inside a circle of dots (4th stamp) stands for a place. Does anyone "out there" have a list? I tried on line but couldn't find anything except that #14 stands for ZHITOMIR/Ukraine.
Edit: These stamps are Scott's #5 - #10.
EDIT #2: I have been doing some serious searching and eventually came up with the list. It is in this link in case any other Russia collectors are interested. My #1 is for Saint Petersburg.
