I recently acquired a large collection of U.S. postmarks, primarily California. Most are in the period of 1940-1980.

This is not my area of philatelic expertise or interest so I am looking to dispose of the collection, which is mostly well-organized by city. They are all in the standard 2" x 4" corner format, which I'm told is no longer as popular as collecting on entire covers.

I did a little checking and most were from familiar cities and towns (I live in Calfornia), with a lot of duplication. None that i could find were from post offices which have subsequently been closed.

I know this could be of interest to someone, but can't figure out the best way to find that person.

Any suggestions?
