I thought it interesting from the book above, what are right and proper other ways?

I was reading the other day that there is something like 6 million possible unique varieties of town and types. Given that, it would pay to narrow your scope to whatever pleases you. For me, that's the states that I have lived in over the years while shuffling around on behalf of the Air Force. Right and proper in this case is whatever makes you happy.

re: From Handbook on Bureau and Local Precancels by Adolf Gunesch

I have, as I have mentioned a few times, a huge collection of precancels (more than 3200) that I picked up from my local dealer. It allowed me to finish my one/state and when they are organized I will probably have most of the State capitals. He also had a large number of newer items that I might continue with, including many precancels of the huge US transportation series including many ready made printed as part of the stamp process precancels. If anyone is looking for particular precancels of states, towns or stamps please get in touch and I'll get back to you later when they are all sorted. I'm going to put it together in a large 64 page stock book by state/town/stamp. No charge, I'm glad to help. But I'd prefer they go to a collector and not for someone to sell!
