I have two different 3-ounce stamps that are not listed on the USPS website anymore. They are Henry James and Ursula K Le Guin. They are the forever type stamps. The last price that I have for them are $1.14. How do I find out if they are still at that price?

Thank you for your opinions,

i think that is correct: 66c plus 24c two times

i hate USPS's site

and other places are more likely to have numbers from one or two rates ago

re: US Postage = 3 ounce question

Thank you so much. Yes, the current price is $1.14. It just really confused me as USPS is not selling 3-ounce stamps at this time. I do wonder if they will bring them back or we just need to stuff that information in a "brain file". Good luck on me pulling that out later on...

no idea if they will add more 3 ouncers. Probably fairly rare, but issuing stamps people will actually use doesn't seem to be high on USPS's list of priorities

re: US Postage = 3 ounce question

To be honest, I never understood the 3 oz rate stamp.

1 oz forever stamp
1 extra oz. stamp

Just put on two extra oz stamps for 3 oz letter.
Now that letters max out at 3.5 oz, the only reason I see for 2 oz stamps is the 2 oz LOVE stamps so couples can send out invitations and SASE replies using matching LOVE stamps.

I don't see any demand for 3 oz rate stamps.

What am I missing?

Hey Lars,

Probably nothing! It's just I had these stamps and didn't know what the values were as they were not listed at USPS. I can now see the downfall of the forever stamps, but this is the first time in how many years I've run across this situation.

Good to see you out here again. How's the weird weather up there been treating you?
