United States/Stamps : I discovered this in the 1960s

I noticed that on flat press printed stamps (plate blocks, plate single, etc. & etc.) some times the reverse side would show an offset of the plate number, reverse orientation.

I noticed this example today from an auction house. This 4499 example is better than normal, I scan as it appears then reverse the plate numbers so it reads right and proper orientation.

Lets see other flat plat number readable examples from SOR members?

Because these are flat press printed its easy to see how this would happen.

In my previous posting 4499 was supposed to be 499! (so much for my proof reading what I write)
