I researched the reason ultramarine color was used on some of the first issue revenue stamps.

Attached is everything I've found, trouble is ultramarine is not mentioned. This is a letter found on page 16 in the Boston Book.

I'm asking if any member has better information for the reason for using ultramarine color on the right and proper affected revenue stamps?
