I've found stamp smarter pretty good, not 100% maybe 90% good.

How about SOR members?

Tons of good information for the average collector.

I especially like the perforation section for Washington/Franklin head stamps, tons of information here, by the way all in thousands of an inch, no metric!

There is a lot of good information there. It absorbed the 1847usa web site and was allowed to continue using Scott numbers. I was involved in contributing to the US stamp tagging database.

Yes - Don's 1847 site is full of good info.

Don used to be a member here.

He helped me a lot when I first began an interest in HPO's and the covers related to it.

The Washington/Franklin identifier tool sure helps me a lot. Before I picked up a Scott US Specialty catalog, the US postal card tool was very helpful. Still is. Excellent website.

Don has done very well to make this website a great resource. I wish he was still active here where I might be far more likely to interact with him.

Hi All,
Happy to be back.
Regards,
Don

Edit: Since I've been gone, glad to report that the Stage 4 cancer is still in full remission and that I finally got a kidney transplant, and all seems to be going well health-wise. I almost feel like a normal boy again.
