This time, come as surprise!

For some two or three years back, I stop to keep in stock new issue, for reason that we all know as poor design, high face value, frequency, quantity ... not mentioning that almost all branches in Israel is not using postage stamp as payment for shipping mail, and more of it, almost no one use cancel machine today.

So, I focused just on ATM Labels, which are available around, and still keep very good design and quality.

Recently, for my surprise, Israel issued one really good design and sheet composition of FAUNA, under name "Carnivora in Israel". To be fair, as my English is "broken", it is hard for me to understand why this title, but....

Set come in 5 values, each of 2.60 NIS (domestic mail rate), in sheet composition of two set arranged in tete-beche format, with nice salvage (FLORA) and tabs (FAUNA - offspring of animals shown on stamps). Now, it is still available from Israel Post Philatelic Service, and on eBay what is available is somewhere around 10.00 US$ + postage price tag.

Artist just make perfect work! And I cry foul, that it is not printed in engraved technique , probably with two color option, but offset made it same good way!

Here we have it:

Vormela peregusna (Marbled polecat),

Felis silvestris (European wildcat),

Canis aureus (Golden jackal),

Herpestes ichneumon (Egyptian mongoose)

and Hyaena hyaena (Striped hyena).

From five animals shown, I still can not decided which was best made, Marbled polecat or Egyptian mongoose, probably mongoose will take a lead, because I see this animal every single day on my place of work.

So, with very affordable price, this item will well fit in Your collection!
