It looks like a Jack-O-Lantern item to me.

Thank you Dan, that's the way I see it. It will be interesting to see what others see.
Fancy cancels can often come with a certain amount of subjectivity. When entering into Stamp Smarter, you can always use the comment field to add additional key words so other users can find them when doing a search (even if you are unsure of the cancel type).

It looks to me like a capital M underlined....maybe to make sure it is used upright and not to be mistaken for a W??
Don, thanks -yes - highly subjective. I had not thought of the use of comments but it certainly solves the issue of my always thinking that I know the answer ! Thank you - that will help to keep my head from spinning.
Musicman - thanks. Yes, quite possibly - now we just have to figure out what the "M" stands for .....

(...just kidding...)
I am thinking of starting to download some fancy cancels onto Stampsmarter but what do I do with the ones that I don't know what they are ? This is one example. At first glance it's an "M", but then it looks like a mouth under the "M". And what is it that is atop the apple shaped body? It reminds me of when I was a kid laying in a field and trying to figure out what the clouds looked like.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
