It is Senior citizens aid stamp. Seems not a regular issue.
Good luck
What does the Senior Citizen get with the stamp, if anything? Is it like a coupon that can be redeemed? There is no value, so I assume that there is limit of some sort. Found in a box lot.
Thanks for the information.
Mel
I can see why it is confusing. They misspelled "Latenlife" (Late 'n life) Hey, I'm qualified for whatever they are offering.

Before and during the Second World War, the Nazi organization Winterhilf (WHW, or Winter Help) issued semi-postal stamps and other "collectibles" under the auspices of the Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt (National Socialist People’s Welfare Organization); the funds raised were for charitable purposes, which was fine if you were a Nazi or "just" an "Aryan," but non-Aryans, not to mention Jews, homosexuals, and the physically and mentally disabled were out of luck. And Jews were so completely disenfranchised because of the Nuremberg Laws of 1933 that they weren't even allowed to donate to WHW.
I'm just now beginning to do research on various aspects of Winterhilf, as well as Liebensborn, the Nazi organization which literally bred young Aryan women with Nazi officers in order to (obviously) produce little Aryans. I recently bought a Nazi postcard picturing a "home" for Liebensborn mothers and their children, most of whom were abandoned by the Nazi party as the war drew to its sad close.
Obviously, charity isn't always received by the most needy people; I hasten to add that this isn't a comment about the label which started this thread.

Elaborating on hjulsing, who already gave the correct answer: This appears to be a German charity label in support of the elderly. I would think it is not different in function to other better known charity labels in support of the red cross, TB, or any other charitable purpose. Typically, you get these labels for a donation and then can put these on your mail to show you support the cause, and advertize for the cause at the same time.
Here some actual German stamps issued for the Alters- and Kinderhilfe:
I am not sure but these might be the only German stamps issued specifically mentioning charity for the elderly (and youth, in this case, at the same time). There is a rich history of semi-postal stamps in some countries, including Germany, for many different purposes, and I assume a lot of organizations at one time or another hoped to tap into this culture by issuing/selling there own charity stamps.

Call me cynical if you like but I wonder exactly how much of this "charity Fund" got to where it was supposed to go, and how much was used to finance armaments?
Malcolm
I love Mike's definition.
So, based on the answers, the item is like a Christmas Seal, or Easter Seal or as Rhinelander mentioned a charity label in support of the red cross, TB, or any other charitable organization.
If anyone is interested in having it, just back channel me and I will send it to you.

Believe it is German and the translation means "Old Age" or having to do with retirement.
Help.
Thanks for any help.
