I think that this must be a creation, but I'll ask your opinions.

would a cover from belligerent US to belligerent Germany actually be delivered? I thought all clipper flights had been suspended with the opening of hostilities. Can someone confirm my suspicions or tell me I'm in error.

The date looks to me like April 9, 1940 (not 1944) -- which would make it ok.
