Is anyone able to read the overprint on this express mail strip? As far as I can discern with my extremely limited knowledge of Chinese material, it is most similar to the Scott listing for E10. It is one of the most unusual "stamps" and I thought you might enjoy seeing a scan. Thanks in advance for any info!

re: Express mail strip

It is a special delivery stamp. Keep all those labels intact.

China Scott #E10 - 2015 catalog $300.00 (see below).

However, your stamp has the letters A, B, C and D printed on four of the sections. This is from when the special delivery stamps were demonetized in 1916. I don't know what the value is for that, but it is probably much less than for an E10.

Right, it seems it is a late version of E10 with A, B, C, D and city name printed.

Thanks Michael, I read that blurb in the catalog beneath E10, too. Actually, I was curious about the overprint as there is no mention of those in Scotts. Thanks to samliu for the info that is is the name of a small post office.

Everytime I come across something like this I have to remind myself that I am NOT going to start collecting the whole world again! There are so many fascinating areas to collect, but not enough time or money to do all of them with any depth.
