Well done Bob. I hope you have a great night.

We are happy to receive new members and encourage everyone to participate in the discussion board. The only way we learn more about Philatelic issues are through our members' expertise (no matter how great or small). It is exciting to see people discuss covers, postmarks, ask questions about identifying stamps or the history of a certain issue, etc.
That's what I love about SOR, we are a CLUB and the quantity and quality of input by our members worldwide is what makes SOR so unique among so many other clubs Then again, I'm a wee bit biased.

Hope I'm not too late! Good luck with your presentation, Bob. Perhaps you'll mention Ephemeral Treasures, at http://www.ephemeraltreasures.net!

Thanks to all who replied. Presentation went well. I wouldn't be surprised to see some members on here shortly. Sorry Bob, I think you got in just a little too late. I put the same post in the Local Stamp Clubs topic but didn't get any responses. I'm thinking not too many people go to that thread unless they are specifically looking for stamp club news.
Thanks,
Bob
Hi Bob,
Did you use a Powerpoint presentation? Would you like to post it here?
Regards ... Tim.
No, I didn't use a powerpoint - I just went on the internet and went to a bunch of websites. Many of our members are older and never even saw our own club's website. Wanted to show them what is out there and what they are missing
Bob
Hi Bob,
You must have done a great job. I have several applications from new members.
Regards ... Tim.
The website sells itself. I just needed to point them in the right direction.
I'm one of the new members....decided to join after Bob's presentation and demonstration.
Welcome Marc, very good to have you with us.
Regards ... Tim.
Hi Folks,
I am going to be giving a presentation to my stamp tonight about my favorite philatelic websites. Of course Stamporama will be our first stop. I'm hoping some of you will respond to this post to show how friendly and informative we are and I can convert some non-members to members.
Thanks!!!
Bob
