The results were emailed today to Chapter and Affiliate representatives and a news release is forthcoming.
Stamporama was one of 4 entrants to receive a Gold award.

Hi Everyone,
I can confirm that we were awarded a Gold Medal this year. I saw the email yesterday but was away at a lake home with friends and didn't have the ability to let you know. I'm very happy about it. As all of you have said above, this was very much a group effort. I'm very proud of us all.

I'll echo everything that's been said. This web site is a pleasure to use, better in virtually all respects than 99% of web sites, many of which are embarrassingly bad even though they're owned by big corporations. So, congratulations to Tim, to Alyn (who preceded Tim), and to Roy, who can take credit for the basic, highly functional, attractive design, and to the many volunteers who have contributed their own expertise and enthusiasm.
You'll have to forgive me for a shameless parental plug here: the Stamporama web site is a descendant of my son's original web site. I had told Roy about Paul's web site (and my own, which resulted from Paul's tutelage); he was so impressed that he emulated the basic design and style of Paul's web site in the Stamporama web site, which has now morphed into quite a different animal but retains the best and most important design elements. Paul is now making his living with his web site. If you would like to take a look, please send me a private message and I'll provide the URL.

My mistake. I should have correctly identified Allen Bohart, who succeeded Roy and preceded Tim as webmaster. It is he to whom that our thanks should go.
I should also note that Roy, during his service as webmaster, was also President, so it was both his cyber acumen and his leadership that played an instrumental role in moving us to the web.

The original mistake was mine. I confused Alyn with Alan Bohart. Apologies to both Alyn and Alan. And David is correct, of course, that Roy Lingen was president at the time he was also developing the web site.

The original mistake was mine. I confused Alyn with Alan Bohart. Apologies to both Alyn and Alan. And David is correct, of course, that Roy Lingen was president at the time he was also developing the web site.
