Hey everyone,

I am a new member on here on Stamporama! I am primarily a collector of used postage stamps, although there is evidence of the occasional unused stamp in my collection.

I specialize in the stamps of the British Commonwealth, with focus on India. I prefer stamps with good postmarks, and have a particular weakness for "portrait definitives" and especially those of Queen Victoria. But I collect all well-designed stamps, and love ogling at engraved stamps.

PS: Interested members can find my real name through the member profile; but please use only my handle (ThePhilatelist) on the forum which is public.

Welcome ThePhilatelist; may I call you The? Happy

I have a particular fondness for QV India revenues; do you collect same?

If that identifies me without confusion, then sure!

I own a one anna Queen Victoria revenue (inscribed "Government of India") used with an excellent signature in Gujarati. I have another revenue stamp from Honk Kong belonging to the Victorian period.

That pretty much sums up my Queen Victoria revenue collection.

Sing of The O'Rahilly.
Do not deny his right
Sing a The before his name;
He wrote it there despite
All the learned historians -
Established it for good.
He wrote out the name himself
And christened himself with blood.
