ooops - I wanted to see who "liked" my post and I accidentally "liked" my own post! LOL Sheesh. Is there any way to tell who "liked" something? Thanks!
Hi -- I think that was me with the first like. (And I do think the likes are anonymous on here. I've done the same thing as you, clicked on a like to see who it was and added to it instead!)
I 'liked' your post because I really agree with the idea of keeping all your work together and finding the right person who'll pick it up and take it forward from there, rather than splitting it up into less meaningful pieces.
I really commend you for doing this, and I bet you'll find the right successor on here!

Thank you both. Excellent suggestion, Bobby - I'll do that right now!
Are you a philatelist who likes to dig in and really study a USA stamp issue? If so, please read on . . .
I am breaking up a large chunk of my USA collection. I devoted hours to studying and sorting and soaking some definitive issues such as the G flags, flag over porch, 37c flag, 39c flag etc. Some issues have more work done than others. I accumulated lots of examples and sorted into glassines and on stock pages and so on. I would like to get these in the hands of someone who is interested in flyspecking these issues, too. I'm not interested in making a profit,I just feel it would be an enormous waste to toss all that work. Maybe we could work out a trade or something? The most important thing to me is that it go to someone who is genuinely interested in studying the varieties. I thought about putting parts of it in the approvals or auctions, but it makes much more sense to keep the work intact for one person to continue.
If you're interested, I'd part with them if you'd simply compensate me for the shipping, the stock cards and maybe send a minimal cash amount or perhaps a few bunches of material from some other countries that I collect.
FYI, my interests shifted - I became fascinated with all the plate and overprint varieties, perfins etc on old Irish stamps and decided to focus my energies in that direction. There are only so many hours in the day and so much room in the stamp den, so I decided to part with the USA.
Please message me here in Stamporama and tell me which definitve issues most interest you. If numerous people respond, I'll give each one a first choice from the issues, first person gets first pick until they all find a home in another philatelist's stamp den.
Above all, it is the love of philately that is at the heart of this hobby. Happy stampin'!
