Steve Swain has posted a new article for the site – Scouting Founder Portrayed on Rare Error Stamp.
The article tells the story of how Scouting founder General Robert Baden-Powell became the subject of a rare stamp printing error. The article also gives some nice background on Scouting and the Scouting topical specialty – and of course great images.

The Spink auction site (London) has images of all the items in the Birkhead collection. And, you can download (in .pdf format) the entire sale catalog. An amazing collection. The Grosnevor auction site (London) also has some good images of the Mafeking issues on several items for sale.
