First to guess! Hope I get it!
"I have recently suffered delusions of being psychic,"
"psychic"
I said I had delusions about being psychic; that I am psychotic has been known to be fact, and not a delusion, for decades! Â
Gee! I was going to guess the stamp, but I don't need any of the prizes. I already have a copy of the stamp in a used glassine envelope. Don't need any more citations. I have lots on genuine paper, signed by other famous stamp collectors in this group. Plus I have a great photo of my own backyard with Elvis, Live running around singing, "You Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog". Of course he's one too, and he's singing to the little hound next door, but......
So I guess I will wait for the next contest. Hope it will be as easy as this one. Love that stamp. Sure glad I already have it.
Yes, I received your guess very clearly, Doodles. I must admit, I had no idea someone would get it so quickly. But since you do not want the prize pack, I'll continue the contest. Please do not give the answer away!
Clue 7 gave it away. Next time you will have to be more aloof.
If I win the Elvis tickets please give them to someone else. I already saw him in concert back in 1975 and somebody that has not seen him live should get a chance to. It was a fun concert.
I was drummed into being an assistant Elvis impersonator at a church fundraiser with the humble (and quite entertaining) duty of singing Elvis songs very badly until people donated enough money. There was a professional impersonator there as well.
Antonio,
If that was in 1975, ....well you sure fooled me. My sister may want her money back and her panties she threw up on the stage
No, this was in 2004. I never got into collecting underwear, mint or used.
Contests seem to be popular right now, so I will toss my hat into the ring. However, unlike Mike or Michael, I will give you all 10 clues right up front!
Alright, here it is:
I am thinking of a stamp. If you can guess which stamp, you will win this fabulous prize package: (a) a copy of the stamp, (b) a specially prepared citation printed on genuine paper signed by me, (c) a used glassine envelope, (d) a digital photo of my back yard suitable for framing once you print it out, and (e) tickets to the next concert at which Elvis appears live.
Here are the clues:
1. The color chartreuse does not appear on the stamp.
2. It was issued prior to 1990.
3. The country which issued the stamp has an “e†somewhere in its name.
4. The stamp pictures a person, place or thing.
5. The stamp is NOT from Canada.
6. In the 2014 Scott catalog, the stamp’s value, used, is more than 20¢
7. I once had a copy of the stamp, but I cannot remember where it is.
8. It is either a commemorative, definitive, or air mail stamp, unless it is a revenue or postage due stamp.
9. The stamp has never appeared on a David Letterman top 10 list.
10. The stamp is not a Cinderella.
Do not post your guesses here. I have recently suffered delusions of being psychic, so just think your answer along with your name and email address, and if you win, I’ll let you know.
Good luck!
Bobby
