Is there some way that I am not aware of to know when someone has posted a response in a thread that you are taking part in or that you started?

I have been involved with other online groups and found this type of feature was very useful.

I am finding it difficult to keep track of discussions because I find I am spending a lot of time searching back through categories and threads trying to find the one I posted in to see if anyone else has said anything new. As a result I am not as involved as I would like to be.

I envision a page the member could access showing a listing of the threads they have posted in that has since received a new post. They could perhaps delete after 30 days.

Is this feasible or is there some way that members do navigate the discussions they are in that I haven't figured out yet?

re: Knowing when someone has responded to your thread topic.

I asked something similar, if it would be possible to flag a certain post where you would be informed of any new responses, and was told this can only be done by category (e.g., GB Stamps, but not a specific post within that topic category).

lol I have flagged categories for e-mail and am not receiving e-mails at all. Sigh. I wish this were possible, it would make participation in discussion so much easier.

Yes I would like to see responses as well...Unless someone emails you specifically it may be days before you locate the comments and suggestions.... Cheryl

re: Knowing when someone has responded to your thread topic.

Everytime I come to the site, which is at least once a day, but usually a couple of times, I just click on the last 30 postings, and then the last days postings and check for a new post in the catagory that I have put something in. It usually works reasonably well without having to search everything.

I've started doing that too and it seems to be working for me.
