Hey Roy - I'm just down the road from you a short drive - feel free to drop one or more of those boxes at my house!
Cover dealers must have been saints in former lives to have this kind of karma attend them in this one. What's the next level up, do you imagine?
Roy, it's called, "That's what keeps us young!"
I thought you were too busy
shovelling snow, Roy,
to attend to diversions such as this.
John Derry
Uh oh.... I've gone and done it again. Just off-loaded the van with today's purchases, including a collection of 15,000 US FDC's!
Roy
Breath-taking, Roy, absolutely breath-taking!
Nothing succeeds like success, nothing exceeds like excess.
May your latest van load be a successful excess.

Roy, I'm sending the vibes over the internet. Thinking "Minnesota Cancels" ... "Minnesota Cancels" .......
Would you believe?
A 2 volume exhibition of Minnesota cancels (total about 65 covers/postcards).
Here's a taste. I'll be in touch privately with all pictures, but too late tonight.
Wow! Drooling here.
Roy - I think you've just put Tim and a few others in Minnesota heaven!! LOL
That looks like a little to many covers...
Would it be breaking some long honored protocol to disclose what the winning bid was ?
Either lot without the need to know which.
My curiosity is to learn what kind of pocket cash you have to lay out to finance the business. I realize that after the purchase comes the first sorting, then the identification and research followed by a further sorting, pricing and displaying, all before any of the items are ever sold and a profit made.
Not a problem. Those two pictures cost me a total of about $15,000.
Roy
Looks like a good purchase, Roy. Now, if you find a similar of lot of Indo-China, Vietnam, North Vietnam, wartime Great Britain, wartime Canada, wartime Japan, wartime Germany, wartime Russia, Algerian War, Battle of the Atlantic, astronomy, crash covers, chickens, etc.…
Bob
Thought I'd share pictures of our purchases yesterday. 25 big boxes of covers, just off-loaded from the van and stacked in my front hallway. It's going to be a busy couple of weeks sorting, 'cause I've got to go to another auction in two weeks.
