i was thinking about this one, unless Roy wants it !
60th Rifles was one of three rifle regiments in the British Army, usually fighting in company size units. 95th Rifles were made famous in the BBC program Sharpe's War. They were essentially precursors to US Sharpshooter regiments of the Civil War.
I was the exhibits chairperson for the Royal 98 Royale stamp show in Hamilton. Ron Brigham had a 10 frame 16 page per frame exhibit in the show.
The items he had on his pages would make your head swim. Most of the other exhibitors mailed their exhibits to me. Ron brought his to the show. Thank goodness. I certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for it.
We had two members standing with him just to watch over his pages, while he put them into the frames and locked them up. No one was taking any chances. Someone estimated that just what he had in his exhibit was worth well over 2 million dollars. It was the talk of the show. Just wish I had taken some photos.
Doodles, their are estimates his collection could go for 5 or 6 $$ million !
I have endeavored not to give too much attention to that auction. It has the potential of turning me green. And it isn't easy being green.
Ah come on Antonio, wish him all the best !!

Doodles i would like to be like that but fear holds me back!
Hi--did some catch up reading in past issues of Canadian Stamp News and checked out Brighams website--I believe the 5-6 million mentioned in an earlier post is for the Large Queen collection plus postal history of the period--The total collection could bring in as much as 25 million. There are two more auctions planned for later this year plus multi auctions per year for the next 3-4 years.Ron Brigham stated somewhere in the material I read that there are some items that have never had public viewing prior to these auctions and that he believes there are 5 or 6 items that could realize about 1 million dollars each--you are right it is quite a collection
