I believe the original intention was to include postmarks here, for the times when a particular postmark was significant enough to be the element that determined the value of the stamp/postmark combination. In the belief that cover collectors might also share an interest in these items.
However, current listings misuse the category, listing any used stamp with a non-descript postmark in the off-chance the lister is missing something.
I don't think these items belong here and it makes browsing for covers annoying.
I am indifferent to the presence of "Cards" in the category. I can live with them, but would not care if they were removed also.

As the title said, I would be delighted if "Postmarks" was removed from the "Covers" category in the auction.
