Yes, a good enhancement!
Tim,
I was wondering if a couple of columns could be added to the "Edit" section of "My Book List". The addition of "Number of Items" and number of "Items Sold" would help in determining when to retire a book or keep it active.
Thanks in advance,
Ross
Ross,
If you look at your books in the general area under your name, you will see the list for number of pages, number of items, number sold.
Kelly
The new feature is super!! Many thanks again Tim for all the hard work you do.

Kelly,
Thanks for the tip I never have done search for myself..

Ross,
Hang in there. Your request is coming in the next release.
Regards ... Tim.
Thank you sir!!!!
A few words of praise: Don't think the Approval platform is frozen yet. Led by our Mr Wizard, many small but life changing enhancements are in the works. But I don't want anyone to underestimate the task, nor the talent we have.
rrr...
The approvals books work pretty neatly. However the other night I went through most of one seller's book that had/has over thirty pages. I ran out of time and energy at 4AM with about five pages left to examine.
Is there any way of going back tomorrow to where I left off without passing through thirty pages already examined and mostly "sold" items ?
I see that some books that I've examined closely are listed as recently updated. I assume that the seller is replacing sold stamps with new material.
It seems like a good idea but searching through pages already looked at is a drag on patience.
I'd suggest that "New" be limited to pages that are actually "New" and perhaps the label "Refilled" or "Reworked" be used where that is appropriate.
A further thought or two for sellers.
I see some books with several hundred items shown and more than 50% sold which is very good. However, often right next to them may be a book with a similar number of items from a related area and something close to zero sold.
If I were the seller, I'd look at these successful sellers pages and see if there is an obvious difference that could be exploited to enhance my pages and boost my sales.
Example;
I saw one seller's page scans out of focus and virtually impossible to examine the stamps.
Another sellers prices will never entice a cheap SOB like me to glance at more than one or two pages.
While my interests are postally used world wide and I expect a stamp to show the travails of travel through several hands prior to delivery, some minimally valued (and priced) items are really not good enough for the most desperate buyer.
A 0.08 stamp that is smudged to the point of oblivion ought to be provided a sailors funeral (An all expense paid voyage on the SS Tidy Bowl comes to mind.) or given to the youngest available grandchild to practice handling plastic scissors.
Or, they can be left where they are as an indicator of the seller's feelings about stamps in general.
Am I being too grumpy ?
Charlie
One of the enhancements Tim is working on will permit buyers to jump pages. For now, however, you'll just have to click "next" frequently. I often go to the nth page in a book that way, and it only takes a second or two per page.
When a seller adds to a book, he is not replacing "sold" items, that is not possible (once a single item or a page is sold, that page is, in effect, locked and the only thing that can be changed are the prices). The "new" icon means that either new pages have been added or the price per item on page have been changed. So if you have reviewed the first 10 pages of a book, you can come back later and resume with page 11 without having missed anything (ofc you'll have to click "next" through the 1st 10 pages, but you can do so without having to look at the pages themselves).

Charlie, meantime, while awaiting the change Tim in going to implement, you can bookmark the page where you stopped and easily access it again. However, if you close your browser you'll be logged off, so what I suggest is, login again, THEN go to the bookmarked page where you last visited.
I see that there is a link when you open a book to see all books from this seller! I really link that feature, thanks!
Please tell me its a new feature and I haven't just missed it in all the books I've bought from so far
Dell, that's not a new feature.
The approval book programming has alot of little things that one can do to navigates around and look at what's available. It is quite nifty. Play around and click on things (not the buy button unless you want to buy something, though!) and see what happens. Our Wizard has created quite an application here.
I think my biggest problem with going back to where I left off is remembering where exactly that was. I guess I'll have to figure out the "bookmarking" thingy.
BTW the way; (And off topic) Has anyone ever noticed that the word "Subbookkeepper" is the only English word with five double letters in succession, "bbookkeepp."
End of digression, back to topic.
Charlie, in Firefox it is called Bookmarks; in Internet Explorer, it is Favorites. Same thing.
Re: new features. Yes, it is like discovering a whole new set of toys to play with! Have fun and make suggestions for improvement to your experience; many were implemented directly from our initial trial and error.

Hi Charlie,
What you are asking for, to automatically reposition in the Book List on the book that you were just in, is coming in the next release.
Tim
Thanks Tim. That sounds like a another useful feature.
Hi Everyone,
I have just added a small enhancement to the Stamporama Approvals. If you have been buying as many stamps from the Approval Books as I have, you have been getting a lot of emails. Now, some people like confirmation emails and some people don't. I have added two flags to your member's profile; one for when you are a seller and don't want to receive the confirmation emails and one for when you are a buyer. See figure 1 below:
Figure 1 - the Approvals Email Notification Hold Flags in you Members Profile
You can change these flags at any time by going into your Members Profile in the Members Area and using the Edit function. Another way to unsubscribe from these emails is to look at the bottom of the confirmation emails that you have been getting. See Figure 2:
Figure 2 - The unsubscribe link in the Confirmation Emails.
Click on the link in the word "here" and you will be unsubscribed from the emails that you have been getting.
Now remember, there are two flags, one is for if you are the Seller and one if you are the Buyer. If you don't want any confirmation emails from the Approvals, you have to set both flags.
Another thing to note: these flags work independent of the Auction. There is already a flag that you can set if you are a Seller and don't want the confirmation emails each time an Auction Lot closes. This will continue to work is it has and will not affect the Approvals confirmation emails.
Best regards ... Tim.
