Hi everyone,
I had little trouble finding out exactly what those stamp blocks meant? I know it has a link with the past pre-revolutionary regime and the civil war. I suppose they were issued between 1917 and 1922? However, what do the symbols on those stamps represent? I have a fair idea, but would like to confirm with some experts on this site. It's for a school project on stamps and History.
Thanks for your help.
Daniel.

re: What are the historical meaning of those stamp blocks?

These are from the immediate post revolution period, issued as the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic. They represent the overthrow of tyrannical Tsarist rule. The images are, in order from top block to last block:

Symbols of Industry (Scott design A41, issued 1921)
Severing Chain of Bondage (Scott design A33, issued 1918)
New Russia Triumphant (Scott design A44, issued 1921)

Here is a link to these stamps but they tell little on the history of the designs themselves.

(I can't seem to get the link to work in this post)
