Beautiful Bee See !!!!!
What a beautiful stamp.
Mike
Thanks guys!
Here are some more from my collection:
First stamp for both colonies, a joint issue of 1859. No. 10 Williams Creek (present day Barkerville area) cancel.
I've always loved BC stamps but I don't have any. My goal was to finish my Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. By and by, I'm picking up Newfoundland. I guess maybe some day I'll get to the BC ones.
First I need to complete my Russia and Germany though - then I'll tackle my massive hoard of Canada! Although as I acquire my Provinces I neatly put them into varios - and for the shilling stamps - well, I've got some pretty nice forgeries

Here is my only Vancouver Island stamp. It was issued in 1865 when the colony switched to decimal currency. I still need the 10c blue.
I am also working on Prince Edward Island, but I only collect used, so it is rather tough to find some.
The first stamp for use in British Columbia only, 3p blue, also issued in 1865.
I think it is re-perfed on the right.
Beautiful stamps... and very hard to get.
I get collectors in the store looking for BC stamps and I rarely have them, if ever at all. They are so hard to get.
They are beautiful stamps.
David
They sure are hard to find, especially in good condition or better. I have had most of my luck on eBay.
I replace the last image with a higher resolution. David, do you think there is re-perfing on it?
It certainly looks re-perfed, but I'd have to see it.
David
I paid a low price on the assumption it is re-perfed. The lower right corner is the clue to me. Still, a nice looking stamp
