Canada served in the South African War by sending the Royal Canadian Regiment, the Canadian Mounted Rifles, and others.
There is a War Memorial to the Canadian fallen of the South African War in downtown Ottawa. As well, a bridge (the Pretoria Bridge), named for our victory at said city.

Here's one for the Boer War Transvaal experts- "Opened Under Martial Law". Not in the best of shape but still a neat item..

i have a cover and a few postcards from the Boer War era...but my scanner is acting crazy lately...i see dealers asking 70 bucks for Boer war covers..but i don't think they would be that scarce..especialy from the cities..rare postmarks i can see !!
Well they did have the home field advantage..England thought the war would only be a few months..in truth it almost bankrupted them sending mules, horses,everything all the way to South Africa !!!
