If I buy them from you, i intend to make an extra penny.

Yeah, so many stamps I won't be able to get face value for. It's a shame. At least with my coin collection, even if I go broke collecting, I will still have money!
"At least with my coin collection, even if I go broke collecting, I will still have money!"
Thank goodness i never looked at my hobby as a cash cow...i had a couple of barbers at different times who collected coins and they would buy them in their shop...they would tell me how they were going to put a grandchild through college with their coin collections..they looked astonished when they asked me what my stamp collection was worth and i said it had no monetary value !
"they looked astonished when they asked me what my stamp collection was worth and i said it had no monetary value !"
Wait.. You actually SELL stamps? I while away the hours in pure sorting bliss and most stay in their glassines without ever making it to an album..then I get another collection to sort...and another...and another... Selling a stamp. I am way too much of a hoarder for that. Don't worry Phil, if ya stop selling them then you won't feel like it may not be a good return on time
I have to tell my wife i found someone who has me beat..i have so much to catalog and mount in albums and always sniffing for more stock books of stamps. On another subject..oh boy, my stocks are at an all time high...but the dollars in my pants pocket are worth less !!!
cocollectibles: I will gladly exchange any coins of either Galba or Otho you may have for some nice new US coins. Let's see how much is a Denarius worth currently.... Ted.
Galba and Otho? What about Vitellius, the third of the "three Emperors in one year"? Sorry, Ted, I don't have those and I suspect they are quite hard to find in any condition, given the fleeting reigns. I have Vespasian, Titus, Constantine, and one yet to be identified but I think it may be late Roman Empire. I didn't say I had a lot, as coins are not my "thing" as stamps are, but I couldn't resist the Roman deals I got.
sometimes i wonder what else i might be doing when i catalog stamps i MAY sell for 10 cents into 102 cards i spend 3 cents apiece on. At least i have a choice on how i while away my time !
