Discussion - Member to Member Sales - Research Center
I have added two new sales reports from the Auction this morning. Both give you a rolling 12 month view of what is happening overall in the Auction. One is sorted by Month and then Category and the other by Category and then Month. The sales statistics will be updated automatically, overnight on the 1st of each month, so the reports are always looking at a 12 month period starting last month.
These reports are only available to members and you have to be logged into Stamporama to view the reports. To access the reports go to Auction/Sellers/Reports.

Tim, I just looked at the cat. within the month report and all I can say is WOW!! Very concise and useful info. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for producing this and making it available.

And I just looked at the other report and again DOUBLE WOW!!! These will be a great help to sellers as it spotlights areas of bidders' interest and will help sellers list auction items that they are looking for. AGAIN A BIG THANK YOU!!!!

Very nice set if stats, Tim.
I bet a cumulative average for the year could be generated to see just how the members are served and react. I am seeing an average (eyeballed) of about $5,000 in transactions per month with an average selling price of less than $3.00
Now that you have opened that can of worms, I bet someone is going to wonder if a similar spread sheet can be constructed for buyers such as me. (Hint, hint)
I know some people are bored, or even perhaps confused, by columns of numbers, but others get excited when they have access to them.
The amazing thing is that there are so few problem sales over the time span, showing how well intentioned people can get along, even when money is involved.

Both new Reports are great. A quick question is the "Buy It Now" column number of listed with "BIN" or the number sold with "BIN" to which I'm assuming it is.

The BIN column is the number of lots sold by BIN selection.

Tim - I agree with all - AWSOOOOOME report!!!! As an ole time engineer, I love stats and I love to slice and dice too. Looks like Packets win the 12 month run as best overall category. Which brings another question, how hard would it be to add one more report at the front or back which is the 12 month running average. This would be especially great for the summary by category. This really gives you a 12 month view of what's hot and what's not. It is like what I like to look at with stock reports, I can pick all kind of different timeframes for the reports. When SOR starts selling $Millions/mo we will need this. Well. it is nice to dream, Right ???
